I just joined Sharebuilder about 2 months ago and the only thing I don't like is the 9.95 transaction fees. Lately while looking for cheaper fees I noticed E*Trade pitches 6.99 to 9.99. So I hastily opened an account with them.
Well I am beginning to wonder if it is really worth the trouble right now.
A couple of points
I am getting use to the Sharebuilder account and the time it takes to get things done.
I deposited 20.00 for funds and just to experiment Thursday night on this site and it has not been updated yet.
Since I just started maybe I should keep it simple right now and not get to elaborate as long I am increasing my portfolio.
Like I mentioned before since I don't have a lot of extra money I have to be careful what I spend and I also have to make sure I don't click on the wrong things.
It is probably not 6.99 trade for anything under 2.00/share.
In other news I did have a good day Thursday with Millenium Cell (MCEL) a penny stock that I bought 1300 shares of. About 800 of those shares were 4-5 cents. It shot up to 8 cents the other day making me about 50.00. Not a big windfall but its a start. I think there is definately a future in fuel cells. However it did drop 2 cents on Friday, so I lost about half of that. 26 bucks to be exact. I am hooked but I have to take baby steps and I am cool with that.
I do like the E*Trade site though lots of great info.
